My before pics

Most of my before pics are not digital (thankfully!!) however, I think it is important to look back and see how far I have come - even if it is just to ensure I don't go back there! This was taken in 2004 - when I weighed about 17 stones and was a size 22. In my cover all black and I think looking 10 years older than I was.

Having been this size, I can understand how it feels to be overweight. I know also how good it feels to regain my figure. As well as being a consultant, I am also still a member at another group, this helps keep me on track, and receive the support of fab Slimming World members!

Having done diets, I have finally found a plan which allows me to eat loads, go out with friends and cook the same meals for the whole family and lose weight successfully.

Doing a blog is new to me, and I am excited about hearing your stories and experiences.
I want anyone who is overweight to know there is good, honest and sensible advice available to you to help you be the person you want to be at Slimming World - if you want to find out more log onto http://www.slimmingworld.com - you can locate your nearest group by just entering your postcode. Hope you enjoy x

Slimming World Ball November 2009

Slimming World hold an awards ceremony each November to celebrate the success of our members over the year.

We met Roberto Enrieu, Man of the Year, who lost 25 Stones! He has since ran the London Marathon!

Taster Night!

This Thursday, we had a fabulous taster night. Members brought samples of their favourite Slimming World recipes for everyone to try.

There was quiche, potato salad, lasagne and an amazing curry dish. I even made a frozen strawberry mousse from a recipe in the latest Slimming World Magazine - and it worked!

Taster nights are great for inspiring members to try recipes they would not necessarily try. I love the range of foods and the fact that you can slim and still eat curries and lasagne and puddings! Who wouldn't want to give it a go?
